Mercy Medical Center received an “A”—the top grade in patient safety—in the latest Hospital Safety ScoreSM, administered by The Leapfrog Group. Of the more than 2,500 U.S. hospitals assigned scores for spring 2014, only 32% achieved an “A”.
Attendees will fill the pews at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre on March 23th for a special Closing Mass of Celebration to mark the end of the 100th Anniversary of Mercy Medical Center.
Mercy has installed one of the first publicly accessible electric vehicle charging stations in south-central Nassau County. Thanks to a $1 million grant to Leviton from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and a partnership with Melville-based Leviton, local residents and hospital visitors now have the benefit of this environmentally sustainable resource.
