This program provides a structured and comprehensive day program five days a week/five hours a day for mentally-ill, mentally-ill chemically addicted, and mentally-ill/mentally retarded adults whose psychiatric symptoms cause significant functional impairments. The milieu is a team approach and is staffed by a Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Registered Nurses, Alcoholism Counselors, and Art and Recreation Therapists. Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan consisting of group treatment such as symptom management, medication education and therapy, activities therapy, and individual treatment as needed.  Additional services include case management, family support and education, discharge planning and linkage with aftercare, and vocational services.  Contact 516-565-0215 to make a referral.
