Services: Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)

Mercy Medical Center offers state-of-the-art Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).

Our program is headed by Alexander Sherman M.D., who is Board Certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry and is certified by the Association for Convulsive Therapy.

We have acquired the most advanced equipment, allowing for the administration of highly sophisticated ECT to achieve maximum efficacy while avoiding or minimizing common side effects.

Our well-trained, dedicated staff has substantial experience with patients who are medically compromised, including those with implanted pacemakers and ICD devices.

We offer a comfortable setting, both inpatient and outpatient services, both acute and maintenance therapy, and the flexibility to accommodate individual needs.
