Mercy New Hope is a 24 hour medically monitored crisis service unit for persons with Chemical Dependency problems who are in need of a safe, supportive residential environment Offers 24 hour medically monitoredservices to intoxicated individuals or those in a situational crisis stemming from alcohol or substance abuse. It is the only emergency alcohol facility for Nassau County which offers alternative services to hospital emergency rooms. Transportation from all Nassau County hospitals is available. 516-794-0160
The Program provides the following services:
- Transportation to hospitals, treatment facilities, legal systems and other needs
- 24 hour short term residential chemical dependency crisis service
- Nursing assessment and ongoing monitoring
- Supervision of self-administration of medication
- Provision of multivitamins and vitamin B1 daily
- TB screening, testing and follow-up
- Chemical dependency assessment
- Group and individual counseling and education
- Health and nutrition education
- Spirituality groups
- Provision of nutritional meals and snacks
- Linkage to aftercare
- Assistance with housing
- 24 hour phone intervention
