Laparoscopy: changing
the nature of diagnosis and surgery Diagnostic and operative
laparoscopy is a medical and surgical revolution, letting doctors
look directly into a patient’s abdomen using a tiny video camera.
This helps physicians discover problems that might otherwise
go undetected, and then treat them with great precision.
Laparoscopy using only tiny incisions, so recovery time is
roughly half of open abdominal surgery. Most patients return
home after one day – sometimes even the same day of surgery.
Our department of Gynecologic Oncologist have perfected laproscopic
procedures. Their surgical services include:
- Treatment of gynecologic cancer including: cervical, ovarian
and endometrial cancers
- Hysterectomy
- Removal of ovarian cysts
- Treatment of endometrosis
- Treatment of Fibroids
