MERCY MEDICAL CENTER OPENS CENTER FOR HYPERBARIC MEDICINE & WOUND CARE
Mercy Medical Center, a hospital dedicated to providing patients with the highest level of quality care possible, announced the opening of Catholic Health Services Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Healing at Mercy.
The outpatient center is lead by Medical Director Xenophon Xenophontos, MD along with Aprilee Garlick, RN, BSN the center’s program director. The center will provide a wide range of services for the treatment of chronic, non-healing and/or poorly healing wounds. These services will be delivered by physicians and staff specializing in wound care and hyperbaric medicine.
The Center for Hyperbaric Medicine & Wound Healing at Mercy will apply evidence-based clinical practices using sophisticated therapies, including the most advanced dressings and hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy, to help give patients their best quality of life. After this, a treatment program specifically tailored to the patient’s needs will be created utilizing the most effective treatment options.
