Partial Hospitalization Program

Mercy Medical Center’s short-term program provides an intensive, structured treatment environment 5 days a week, 5 hours a day, for mentally ill and mentally ill/chemically dependent adults who are experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms. It can serve as an alternative to an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit stay, or as a step-down program to decrease the length of an Inpatient Unit admission. A multidisciplinary treatment team, consisting of a psychiatrist, licensed clinical social workers and licensed creative arts therapist, provides treatment to assist the individual with regaining stability of their symptoms.

This intensive program provides individuals with the following treatment services:

  • Biopsychosocial assessment
  • Psychiatric evaluation
  • Health screening and referral
  • Treatment planning
  • Group and individual therapy
  • Medication management, education, administration
  • Activity therapy
  • Family support and education
  • Crisis intervention
  • Discharge planning
  • Case management

Central Intake Service
Central Intake provides individuals with timely, thorough psychosocial evaluations by licensed clinicians for admissions into several Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Outpatient Programs. Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Evening appointments are also available. Phone: 705-3400 x 3230
