Mercy Snags Six Zero Harm Awards for Exceptional Care
Rockville Centre, NY—With a strong focus on clinical excellence and safety, the Catholic Health Services (CHS) No Harm Campaign continues to drive improved patient care. Supporting this initiative, Executive Vice President & Chief Clinical Officer Patrick M. O’Shaughnessy, DO, recently presented the Certified Zero Harm Award to Mercy Medical Center for achieving sustained flawless performance.
“This recognition underscores the powerful message of zero harm,” said Executive Vice President & Chief Clinical Officer Patrick M. O’Shaughnessy, DO. “We are determined to consistently deliver the highest quality results and best outcomes for our patients.”
The hospital earned the following awards for 12 consecutive months of successfully attaining zero incidence of harm in these areas: Central Line-Associated Blood Stream Infections (CLABSI) in Critical Care, CLABSI in Medical/Surgical, Hip/Knee Readmissions Medicare, Rehabilitation Restraints, Surgical Site Infection-Abdominal Hysterectomy, Surgical Site Infection-Hip.
