Residency Curriculum

Our residents rotate through  St.  Mary’s  Children’s  Hospital and Burke Rehabilitation Hospital where they receive outstanding training from  well known specialists in Pediatric, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Orthopedic and CardioPulmonary Rehabilitation. Our program also offers superb training in pain medicine, ultrasound guided injections, interventional pain management and osteopathic manipulation. Residents perform well over the 200 EMGs required by the specialty colleges and 100% of our residents have been selected to fellowships positions in their choice of subspecialties

Structured rotations include acute inpatient rehabilitation floors and consult service, Pediatric rehabilitation through St.  Mary’s  Children’s  Hospital, Spinal cord, TBI and cardiopulmonary rotations at Burke Rehabilitation. Additionally residents will rotate through clinics in pain medicine, Musculoskeletal sports medicine, interventional pain management, and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Residents also have the choice of various electives to provide residents with a full complement of clinical experiences.

Our Didactic program consists of Journal clubs, case presentations, guest lecturers, EMG curriculum, Botox in service training, and Sonosite in service training for MSK ultrasound, and PM&R board review.
